KTLA Spotlights AIM+

AI cameras give youth sports a pro upgrade, transforming the game for athletes, coaches, and families.

As featured on KTLA in the segment “AI cameras give youth sports a pro upgrade,” AIM+ is pushing the boundaries of what is possible in youth sports. Reporter Rich DeMuro spotlighted AIM Sports Group and how they turn every game into professional-grade experiences.

AIM’s Sportsplex stands as a powerhouse in Seal Beach, California. The 115,000-square-foot facility hosts over 50 weekends of events each year, as our Founder and CEO John Gallegos shared in the KTLA interview, “I don’t know that there’s another youth facility in SoCal that has this level of technology”.

In September of 2025, AIM Sports Group installed over 20 cloud based Spiideo cameras throughout the facility. These market-leading cameras automatically move and adjust to capture every second of the thousands of games that take place within the Sportsplex.

While the Spiideo cameras provide reliable, high-quality capture as a key tool, AIM+ is the heart of the operation. Launched in October 2025, AIM+ is the AI-powered platform that takes this footage, processes the video delivering stats, personalized highlights, box scores, and full-game replays, all designed to empower athletes, coaches, and families with pro-level insights right at their fingertips.

These cameras have already collected data from over 2,000 SoCal Cup League games and have not missed a second of the action.

In the first 2,000 games recorded from the SoCal Cup League, there have already been 350,000 highlight clips available for players and parents to view on AIM+, contributing to over 1.6 million total highlights across the platform.

AIM+ automatically populates player profiles 24-48 hours post-game. Each player who participates in an AIM+-partnered event will have a professional profile that resembles a professional athlete's sports card or ESPN profile.

This technology can be especially valuable to parents as well. “1080, you know, high definition. AI compatible, you can just sit back and enjoy your kids play. We’ll capture all the film,” Gallegos explained. Parents get a top-of-the-line experience while simply cheering on their children.

Four-time Olympian and SoCal Cup coach Reid Priddy captured the impact perfectly: “This type of technology is really powerful. Youth sports is a big commitment to the family. This is a great resource to not only help them understand where to get better, how they did performance-wise, but also go out there and broadcast their skills to the world.” He also stressed time as our scarcest resource, noting how AIM+ helps athletes and teams invest it wisely through data-driven decisions.

AIM+ elevates athlete development by enabling deep dives into highlights for technique refinement, while stats highlight key growth areas, such as reducing errors or boosting assist ratios. Coaches leverage evidence-based insights to create targeted plans, fostering real progress across clubs and events.

AIM+ scales effortlessly for national tournaments, handling crowds of over 80,000 athletes and spectators combined. Looking ahead, real-time stats and expansion to larger events will solidify its role as the premier AI innovator in youth sports.

If you are involved in youth sports as a parent, coach, athlete, or club director, this KTLA feature is a must-watch. It shows exactly how these innovations are changing the game.
