Coast 16-1 Leads 16/15 Division at SoCal Cup Mid-Season

The first half of the 2025-26 SoCal Cup League is wrapped, and Coast 16-1 is the team everyone’s talking about.

Coast 16-1, with an 8-1 record, sits alone in first place in the 16/15 Gold Division, holding a comfortable lead over a deep and talented field. The one loss came early; since then, they’ve been on a roll, stacking wins against some of the top programs in the region with balanced offense, aggressive serving, and a defense that makes life miserable for opposing hitters.

Leading the charge all season have been Ege Karagoz, Henry Kim, and Samson Cuevas. The trio has been unstoppable in the pins and the middle, racking up kills, stuffing blocks, and delivering in every big moment to keep Coast rolling.

Now back from injury, OH Luis Tarja has stepped right in and reminded everyone why he’s the team’s leading attacker. He missed the entire two-day Qualifying tournament, so he got a late start to the season – but he has wasted no time taking over as the primary terminator on the outside.

Running the offense is setter Noah Pabarcus, who has been outstanding this season. He’s currently the team’s best server and a highly effective offensive setter. This kid is hungry – remember the name.

The second half fires back up in January with plenty of volleyball still to play, but right now Coast 16-1 owns the top spot—and the momentum. We look forward to seeing them continue their dominance at the upcoming Winter Formal Event, December 12-14, 2025.
