The Nike Circuit, a top club girls volleyball league in the Midwest, heads back to Columbus this upcoming Saturday and Sunday for what is anticipated to be a very competitive weekend. Teams from all over the country are set to meet in the heart of Ohio under the bright lights of AIM+ in front of thousands of eager fans.
After the conclusion of every game, players are ranked with an AIM+ score, an AI driven metric that summarizes a player's statistical contributions and efficiency. It compares positive stats like kills (K), service aces (SA), digs (DIG), blocks (B), and assists (A) against errors such as attack errors (AE), reception errors (RE), service errors (SE), and ball handling errors (BHE).
Through the first five weekends of the Nike Circuit, many players have taken their game to the next level, but a few players in each division stand out among the field.
Starting in the 15’s division, Lanie Overbeek from Dead Frog 15 Black has jumped off the charts with an AIM+ score of 39.31 through her first 16 sets played. Lexi Coleman from Legacy 15-1 ADIDAS boasts a 36.18 score with an impressive 87 kills through her first 17 sets. Kyleigh Wightman from 15-Black has also been a force, posting a 32.91 score through 32 strong sets.
In the 16’s division, Charlotte Holm from Tri-State Elite 16 White and Kylee Reiser from Mintonette Sports m.64 have both displayed an AIM+ score of 34.00, impacting matches in different ways. Charlotte has been dominant at the net, while Kylee has set up her teammates effectively with 20 assists.
Leading the 17’s division and sitting at the top of the entire AIM+ leaderboard is Anna Overway from Dead Frog 17 Black. Anna is the definition of consistency and always shows up for her team in the biggest moments. She comes in with 73 out of 74 successful receptions and continues to be a force all over the court.
The 18’s division is the most competitive of the group, with four standout athletes at the top of the highest level. Makenna Kirlin, Natalie Carr, Kendall Kozak, and Makayla Meister all hold a score of 35+ and have found ways to impact the game at all three levels on the court.
From unbelievable digs to unstoppable kills and purely perfect sets, these players continue to show the rest of the Circuit what it means to compete at the top of your game.
Player To Watch: Keep an eye on Rosalyn Ross of P3R 15 Platinum who is less than two points from reaching a 30+ AIM+ score.
